Know-thyself-heal-thyself Monday Prompt: How can I cut through the noise and get to what’s important?
Going through this prompt, I chuckled…..
I am guilty of multitasking and being easily distracted
In the age of social media and technology
It is easy to get distracted
And sometimes lose focus of our goals
But the topics and interests we surround ourselves with determines what we focus on
Focus requires discipline with the ability to choose what we pay attention to
Your mind is the hallmark of all your thoughts
And requires self-love to nurture it
So how do we improve focus with self-love?
First, know yourself: Knowing yourself requires constant learning, evaluations, and taking steps to improve them
Second, choose what you prioritize: let go of toxic relationships, people, and interests — ALWAYS CHOOSE YOU
Third, guide your mind jealously: you become whatever you let in. Focus on gratitude, positive thinking, productive relationships, etc
Fourth, take time to celebrate yourself: Nothing beats this. The world may not acknowledge you, but your existence has a great effect on the lives of others. Take yourself out to dinner, enjoy your company….
Always practice gratitude: Though life may not be perfect, there is always something to be grateful for
Welcome SERENITY…. it brings perspective into play
Being alone does not necessarily mean you are lonely…it means you love your company
So find your comfortable place, take solitude in it, and focus on what you love…..
