Belief in a Higher Power!
Know Thyself, Heal Thyself Wednesday Prompt: What stereotype do you unwillingly fit?
For as long as I can remember
I have the belief that there is a higher power at work.
The power of spirituality and getting in tune with your spiritual self can determine a lot in terms of success, relationship, and self-love.
Growing up in Nigeria
And being surrounded by difficulties and seeing people suffering and trying to survive daily
The need to cling to a higher power becomes essential to survival.
I have come to appreciate my Christian faith
It brings me closer to me
And teaches me the value of love and showing love to everyone
It teaches me to love more, feel me, and be more expressive
It encourages me in times of difficulties and provides the motivation to take one step at a time despite challenges
It is my source of strength, joy, resilience, and hope
I am a better me because of it
However, despite being a Christian, life does not get easier
Sometimes, life presents with challenges that you wonder if God exists
But I refuse to believe that God will take care of all my pain and suffering
Sometimes, the pain and suffering reminds us that we are humans
With the responsibility to understand people's pain and help them get through them
How do you become a diamond without going through the fire and methods of purification?
I have learned to welcome every experience, be at peace with them, and build resilience to overcome them
And with each day, I hope to be a better me and impact others in the best way I can
With my writing…..
